About The Invention
The Emotional Sensor is a sensor that can detect an individual’s heart rate by placing your hands on the steering wheel. It will monitor your heart rate; if the vehicle detects any erratic rhythms due to road rage, intoxication, or cardiovascular disease, e.g., congestive heart failure, arrhythmia, heart attack, stroke, etc., the vehicle will slow down safely. Prompting the driver to pull over and gather himself or ask if medical attention is required. Although high blood pressure often has no symptoms, over time, if untreated, it can cause serious health issues.
This can also be a preventative method for getting a medical diagnosis. Just as when you shut off your vehicle, the steering wheel locks well, upon starting up the vehicle, the steering wheel will not unlock until it has initialized or established a heart rate. If the driver puts gloves on to “bypass” the system, an alarm will sound like not fastening your seatbelt. This device will help prevent any unsafe operations of the vehicle, outside of any mechanical issues.
My target market is anyone who operates a motor vehicle, including CDL drivers. Not only will this help save lives, but it will also help individuals save money on car insurance.

About the Developer
Ahmad Shabazz from Claymont, DE, got the concept of working out at the gym. He noticed that the gym had these sensor bars on the cardio machines and thought, what if this was incorporated into a vehicle? Also, realizing that ideas are like the Internet, if you’re tuned with the right frequency, you can “snatch” the information right out of thin air!
Ahmad contacted the Mars Rising Network and had a provisional and design patent application filed and had the invention designed properly so that he may see success with this great idea and turn it into a real product. He is actively seeking a company that would have an interest in licensing the product for royalty.
Working with Mars Rising Network, this essential new design concept was refined and prepared to be presented as a commercial product.
