About The Invention

The Disposable Bidet comprises a canister having preferred dimensions of 1 ½” diameter X 4” tall. The present invention is this size such that it can be easily and discreetly carried in a purse or backpack, or the like. 

The canister is able to contain about 2 ounces of fluid for cleaning use. The device finds use when the user is remotely located and wishes to clean themselves and there is little or no access to convenience items such as toilet paper or wipes. The disposable bidet may also include a straw, which may be flexible or not, and an end nozzle. 

 The contents of the container may be expelled for use by aerosol or other such propellant from the container through the straw and nozzle, and onto the area to clean off the user after defecating or urinating. Certain embodiments of the straw have a flexible accordion profile, allowing it to be flexible about its length, others may have the flexible portion just near the nozzle but a rigid straw on the remainder. 

The nozzle has at least one aperture to allow the fluid to be expelled from. Certain embodiments with multiple apertures are able to spray as a finer mist. The present Invention serves to allow users to thoroughly clean themselves after bathroom episodes in environments where water may not be readily available. As such it serves to increase individual cleanliness and public health.

About the Developer

Shawn Thompson from Toledo, OH, came up with the disposable bidet concept years ago while finding himself stranded while on a long hike without facilities or means to practice good hygiene. Through the years, many improvements have been added as he thought of ways to make hygiene in outdoor activities in remote areas easier, comfortable and more enjoyable. 

Shawn contacted the IDT and had a provisional and design patent application filed and had the invention designed properly so that he may see success with this great idea and turn it into a real product. 

He actively seeking a company that would have an interest in partnering with him to get this patent pending product into the marketplace.
